- Rev. Oguaka buries mother in grand style

A priest in the Diocese on the Niger has urged Christians to remember that nothing in this world including our life is permanent
Rev. Canon Henry Nwachukwu spoke on Easter Monday during the burial of Mrs Roseline Oguaka at Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Canon Nwachukwu who is the Vicar of St. Barnabas’ Anglican Church, Ojoto asked family members, relations, friends and sympathisers of Oguaka family that everybody has a date with death.
He said: “Everyone of us has a date with death. Nothing is permanent. Soon this flesh will be tired.”
The cleric said whatever one is doing in life, one is sowing seed. Stressing that our prayer should be for us to sow good seeds.
He advised: “Don’t eat your seed. A time of sowing is a time of hardship. People because of hardship have sold themselves and family cheaply. Bearing children is easy but training them is difficult. Training is not overfeeding or protecting them but bringing them up in the fear of God.”
He sad we can build our society by training our children with fear of God like Late Mrs Oguaka who brought up her children in the fear of God.
“There is reward for good work. Be remembered by the seed you sowed,” said the cleric who added that people should not be in a hurry in life but should take it easy.
“We should ask for grace. Prepare our lives for our destination is far,” Canon Nwachukwu pontificated.
In his speech, Rev. Ossy Oguaka, one of the children of Mrs. Oguaka extolled the virtues of his mother, saying she was the person that brought them up in the fear of God.
He described her as a committed, faithful and examplary mother who impacted greatly on her children and grand children.
The fact that the family had two of their sons as Anglican priests and another, a pentecostal pastor is a measure of Mrs. Oguaka’s godly impact on the children.
